If They Die…

Photographic art inspired by a long car journey that resulted in very few insects on my windscreen and bonnet.

The bugs in the piece are taken from engravings by Jacob Hoefnagel c. 1630 – a time when there were probably many more insects thriving. It serves as a gentle reminder not to cut that weed while it’s in flower and to let more of the garden ‘go wild’. It’s a start although I know there is more to do.
